Hotel Ad.

I got this Ad from www.burkhardagency.com/ADSOURCES/grandbay.htm, it's for a hotel and the idea is they want you to feel like when you stay at their hotel you'll be treated like you're famous. Which I think is a great idea because everyone wants to feel like that.

Vibrant colors

This is a poster By Vancouver Film School Digital Design 03. Poster Design in collaboration with DD03 Class Students. I really like the bright colors they use and the psychedelic feel it has to it. The flower design and vibrant colors.

Digital

This is an example of digital design. I was looking at articles on the subject and ran across this image and the articel "New Horizons"
I thought the use of just black and red was interesting. They're two dominant colors that really stand out and grab your eye

James Brown--Psychedelic

www.panopticist.com/archives/228.html

I LOVE this poster! This is def. an example of the Psychedelic era. The colors he used are perfect and I love the way he filled the image with words. To think how long it would take someone to do this is insane.

Pepsi--difference in Ads.

I thought this was neat because of the difference between the old ads. and the new ones

Press

This is just something that my step dad Ken found at the dairy farm he drives for. I thought it was neat because they put so much detail in it.

Chair

This is a chair at my house that I thought had a very victorian feel to it.

Seasons

This is an image from http://www.deviantart.com/print/485992/
I LOVE how it shows the different seasons! It's an amazing image. It's not for an ad. or anything it was just a picture that I thought really captures your attention.

Movie cover--Super Troopers

One of the best movies of all time Super Troopers. I thought it was creative how they made the officers upside down. It makes you want to pick up the box and hold it upside down which grabs the attention of the customer

Logo-PlayStation

This is a logo for PlayStation. They are yet to change it. I think it's neat how they made it a P and S. When you just glance at the image it doesn't look like anything, but after you take a second look you can see the letters.

Jack Johnson

This is the CD case for one of my favorite musicians Jack Johnson. I really like the contrast they used with the yellow and black. It really makes the tree pop out.

Random logos from around my house.

My step dad Ken has a collection of old signs from growing up. This one gives you that some what of a victorian feel the way the letters are and how they used the border around the letters.

I just love our mustang, and I figured I would add this one in there =]

These are just really old cans of Antiseptic we had. It really has that Victorian feel because on the side is a very elaborate drawing. and on the fround they use borders around the picture of the man and the label.

Dr. Pepper

Last class period we talked about logos, and how they change over time. Well I was sitting at the car wash in St. Joe when this caught my eye. Dr.Pepper is by far my favorite drink, and this is an old version of their logo. I went on the internet and found a new version of their logo at http://www.answers.com/topic/dr-pepper. The style is pretty simalar except they've given it more of a flow.

Aero

This came from www.areopostale.com. I posted it becuase of the font type. It's bright, and abstract. Then they used a different font type on the links. It's simple, and isn't really something that makes you say "WOW!!"

Imagination

While I was sitting at work I came across this image from a design agency called Midgibyte. I love the colors they used, and how bright it is. It really jumped out at me. They have a lot of other images that I think you would enjoy. Here's the sites portfolio http://www.midgibyte.com/portfolio.php

Evoke

I was thinking about my blog, and I wanted to find an image just on graphic design itself. I went to some websites, and researched some schools. I came across this image, and fell in love. If you look it says "Design evokes design" Which we went over in class. How the past works of other designers help influence the designers today. Then at the bottom it says "EVOKE". I guess this picture just really made me think.

Chiodos

This is an advertisement for my one of my favorite bands Chiodos. I got it off their website, and I think they did a great job on catching your eye. The way the font doesn't all run in a straight line, and it's not you average font type. I also like how the band members are doing their own thing, and gives the feeling that they're laid back, and fun.

Grand Funk

I was looking at the old records my mom had and I came across this one. They used a great color to catch your eye, and the font type they used really jumps out also.
